F200A PACFence
Invisible Containment System

Do you need to contain your dogs within a fixed area around your property Thenwe have the ideal solution The PAC Electronic Fence System This system ishighly reliable; can encompass any shape of garden or estate, at very low cost;and can be hidden from view.

The PAC Electronic Fence system is ideal where you wish to contain one ormore dogs without needing an ugly and obtrusive boundary fence. Each dog thatneeds to be contained wears an active electronic collar unit. Whenever the dogis nears the boundary his collar is designed to respond to a low strength radiosignal. The boundary itself comprises an inexpensive, PVC-coated loop-wire. No-Goareas within the boundary such as swimming pools, flower beds andchild-play-areas may be selectively excluded within the containment area, byusing a simple, wire twisting technique, locally to nullify the radiosignals.

Continuous and Automatic Surveillance

PACs Electronic Fence effectively gives continuous 247, automatic andunattended surveillance. Whenever a dog moves into the Active Zone set by theuser, normally to 1-2 metres from the wire, his collar receives a radiosignal. The collar then emits audible, warning bleeps, and if he does notwithdraw within two seconds, the system ramps-up to administer correctiveelectrical stimuli. The longer the dog is within the active zone; and thecloser his proximity to the wire; the greater the intensity of the deterrentstimulation. Thus, the dog self-elects to approach the boundary; andif he runs at it, the system activates immediately. Any number of dogseach wearing a collar can be contained.

Control Unit

The electronic Control Unit, which needs to be installed undercover, generates radio signals for the loop-wire. It also incorporates monitoring andadjustment of the Active Zone size i.e. distance from the wire; standbybatteries to keep the system running in the event of a mains power-failure; anda timer-controlled socket, into which a collar may simply be plugged wheneverit needs recharging.

Electronic Collar Unit

The collar unit is a rechargeable waterproof unit that contacts with the dogvia two stainless steel probes. Each collar can give up to 2-4 weeks ofoperation up to 3 months in standby mode. An LED on the collar indicatesbattery charge status.

Loop Wire

The notional maximum length of the standard 1.5 mm2,low cost, multi-cored, PVC covered cable is 1500m, but heavier gauge 2.5 mm2 loop-wire may be used for much longerboundaries. Suitable wire can be purchased from PAC or from most electricalwholesalers. The two tails of the loop connect to the Control Unit.

We are very pleased with our PAC Electronic Fence. When we first acquired our Border Terrier puppy, our Labrador started to go off hunting with him. He also wanted to follow us down the drive. Living near to a busy road and being neighbours to a number of sheep farmers means that it is dangerous for the dogs if they get out.

It is impossible to keep them in the house - with 5 doors, umpteen children, and a stream of people coming in and out. The alternative was to kennel the dogs whenever I was out sometimes all day. But we put a PAC collar on the Labrador, having trained her as suggested, and now we can let the dogs in out freely with family, children, secure in the knowledge that the ever present rabbits and deer wont tempt them off into trouble. They adapted very easily and happily and have a large area to play in.

We have four garden doors. Every time one was opened in the dog was gone within seconds. Gone for anything between twenty minutes and seven hours. The local dog warden has had so many complaints about my dog. His suggestion was a hanging wire, but that would have meant continual punishment, all daylight hours, every day. This would have been no life at all for him. We had tried chaining him up, but he hated it and we hated it too. Now he has freedom. More interestingly, so do we. We can for the first time leave doors wide open without fear. Guests can come and go without panicking about their hosts dog. We had a well-known Saturday Night game-show host staying alone as a paying guest last autumn, who left the door open for five seconds. Embarrassingly, he then had to spend twenty minutes searching the neighbourhood for our wretched dog. It wouldnt happen now we have the PAC fence. I must admit, I am still waiting for it all to fail, because I cannot believe that anything can work so well.

Our Labrador started a habit of disappearing from the hedge-bound garden. Unfortunately there were many gaps, which caused us great concern, since he had been found several times wandering on the busy local roads. With the Electronic Fence and collar system he very quickly changed his habits. It has saved him from danger and us from a great deal of anxiety.

We have been extremely happy with the product and would readily recommend it to friends.
